Take your building skills to the next level and create a masterpiece you can actually play! Following our Term 2 Carnival adventures, this exciting new course challenges children to design and construct a fully functional, multi-level 3D Snakes and Ladders board. From spiralling snakes to sturdy ladders and tiered platforms, students will transform a classic flat game into a towering architectural wonder.
Children will learn how to:
Engineer multi-level structures using various materials, and bracing techniques to create height and stability.
Sculpt and cast 3D game elements, crafting bespoke playing pieces and textured "obstacles" using clay and mixed media.
Master spatial design by planning a functional path that flows across different levels and dimensions.
Apply decorative finishing techniques including precision painting and themed detailing to bring their game world to life.
This course is ideal for children who have completed 3D Modelling (Level 2) or any young inventor who loves to build, sculpt, and solve creative puzzles. It’s a hands-on experience that blends fine art with structural design—culminating in a final "Game Session" where students can test out their 3D creations!
