Bring your wildest imagination to life in 3D! In this ambitious 12-week sculptural programme, children will transform from artists into creature designers and structural engineers. Using a blend of recycled materials and traditional papier-mâché techniques, students will go on a journey to create a unique "Fantasy Creature"—from fire-breathing dragons to neon space monsters—taking their ideas from a 2D design to a final masterpiece.
Children will learn how to:
Design the Character: Build a unique identity for their creature by planning its vital statistics, special abilities, and the mysterious habitat where it lives.
Engineer a "Skeleton": Transform recycled bottles and tubes into a sturdy 3D armature using structural "cross-taping" and mapping.
Master the "Wet Phase": Learn the traditional art of papier-mâché layering, focusing on smooth application and "paper clay" sculpting to add details.
Apply Professional Finishes: Prime models and paint by layering and blending before finishing with detail work and finally glazing.
This course is perfect for children any young creator who is ready to dive into a long-term, high-reward creative project. The term concludes with an Exhibition, where students will showcase their finished creatures.
All abilities welcome—just bring your curiosity and an adventurous spirit!
