Step right up for an exciting term of building, designing, and inventing in 3D! In this hands-on course, children will explore the joy and challenge of constructing a vibrant miniature carnival world. Using a wide variety of materials children will transform their big ideas into solid structures, learning how to bring a bustling festival scene to life in miniature.
Children will learn how to:
Engineer 3D Structures: Build height and stability into their models using card, and other techniques.
Master Construction & Assembly: Transform 2D plans into detailed 3D objects, from classic carnival stalls to iconic fairground features.
Incorporate Moving Parts: Experiment with simple mechanisms and layered details to add interactive elements to their builds.
Apply Decorative Finishing: Use paint, collage, and sculpting to add textures, vibrant colours, and themed details to their carnival world.
This course is ideal for any young inventor who loves to build, sculpt, and imagine big ideas. It’s a fantastic experience that blends art, design, and a sprinkle of engineering—culminating in an amazing Carnival Showcase at the end of the term.
All abilities welcome—just bring your creativity!
