Technical Watercolour Painting (Level 2) with Printmaking

Following our Term 1 adventures in watercolour, this exciting follow-on course introduces children to the world of printmaking while continuing to build their skills in colour layering, brush control, and water-based techniques.

Children will experiment with child-friendly tools to create expressive, layered artwork using a combination of printing, resist techniques, and texture exploration—all while learning how to create mood and atmosphere through thoughtful colour choices.

Children will learn how to:

• Explore new techniques and materials that expand traditional watercolour methods

• Create layered prints using stamping, resist, and colour blending

• Use warm and cool colour palettes to express emotion and space

• Combine techniques like blowing, splattering, and lifting to enhance texture

This course is perfect for children who have completed Technical Watercolour Painting 1 or those ready to explore more adventurous and creative uses of watercolour.
